Verification Documents Submission
CUNY Student Forms
You can now complete verification of your FAFSA documents electronically. Each year when you apply for financial aid, you have a chance of being selected for a process called verification. This process is required by the U.S. Department of Education to ensure the accuracy of financial aid applications.
Students can easily complete their forms and upload their documents online from their phone, tablet, or computer! Please visit CUNY Student Forms for more detailed information.
What is Student Forms?
Student Forms is a student portal that allows students (and parents) to electronically sign and upload documents. This means that you can submit your financial aid documents securely without having to come into the campus Student Financial Services office. As the students and the college financial aid staff work through the forms, the Student Forms software will send updates in real-time with documentation that is needed based on the answers provided by the students. Once you have submitted all your forms to resolve outstanding financial aid tasks, the integration with our other CUNY applications will update CUNYfirst in real-time.

Student Document Upload
Certain forms/documents may not be uploaded to Student Forms. Students can submit required documents through CUNYfirst (See instructions). After the documents are submitted, it is recommended that you contact Student Financial Services by Virtual Office, or by email to confirm that we received your documents.
You are strongly encouraged to submit all requested financial aid documents as soon as possible to receive any available financial aid funding for the academic year that you are enrolled/ attending.
How to Avoid Verification Processing Delays
- You can check your CUNYFirst Student Center “To-Do-List” to see what steps or documents you need to submit.
- Be sure all documents are completed and signed.
- ALL documents must be submitted at once.
- Upload documents through CUNYfirst and/or LaGuardia Student Forms.
- Notify Student Financial Services of submittal of documents.
Deadlines for 2024-2025 Verification Documents Submission
Fall 2024– February 27, 2025
Spring 2025 – June 30, 2025
Fall 2024/ Spring 2025 – June 30, 2025
Failure to submit all requested documentation by the deadline will result in the forfeiture of your financial aid awards for the 2024-2025 award year. If your financial aid is not processed, you will need to make other payment arrangements with the Bursar.
Deadline for 2024-2025 Federal Satisfactory Academic Appeals (SAP)
Fall 2024 – September 18, 2024
Spring 2025 – March 19, 2025
Your appeal must be submitted no later than the deadline. Decisions made by the Federal Financial Aid Appeals Committee are final.
Please note: All spring appeals submitted after the deadline will be rejected.
