Data Analytics and Data Science Program
The ability to gather, prepare, analyze and display data is one of the most sought-after skill sets in the information technology marketplace, with demand spanning across sectors that include healthcare, finance, retail, real estate and even gaming.
This program offers beginner, intermediate and advanced level data analytics courses, which may be taken individually or as part of a series. Certificate program courses not offered this quarter will be offered in a future quarter.
College Art
LaGuardia’s College Art classes are open to the public on a non-credit basis at a special fee of $320 per course. Decisions on class size are made early, so register in advance. Alternate days and times for college classes are sometimes available for Continuing Education students.

LaGuardia Community College APEX Accelerator (LaGuardia APEX), formally known as Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), was established in 1999 to help businesses in Queens and beyond market their goods and services to the Federal, State and local governments. We strive to simplify the steps needed to help you successfully sell to the government. The LaGuardia APEX is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense (DOD) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP).
High School Equivalency for Deaf Adults
Improve your academic skills in preparation for earning a high school equivalency diploma to get a job, increase your income potential, and get into to college.
Earn your high school equivalency diploma. Come to information and assessment sessions, where you will take a reading pre-placement test. If you qualify, you will then take the five high school equivalency predictor tests. If you’ve taken the high school equivalency / GED exam before, please bring your old scores.
Construction Safety Courses
Advance your construction career and fulfill city and state requirements by learning from safety professionals from some of the largest construction projects in New York City.
LaGuardia Community College is partnering with Safety Dynamics, a full service safety, health and environmental consulting firm, to offer general construction safety courses as well as Local Law 196 of 2017 mandated training for workers and supervisors.
Safety Dynamics training curricula is approved by OSHA, the NY State Department of Transportation and many New York City agencies, including the Department of Buildings, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Housing Authority, School Construction Authority and Department of Environmental Protection.
Central Service Technician Certificate
Become nationally certified in medical equipment sterilization and begin a career in this high-demand healthcare service field, projected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations from 2014 to 2024.
The Central Service Technician (CST), or Central Sterile Technician, is responsible for decontaminating, sterilizing, assembling, storing and distributing medical devices and equipment needed for patient care, especially during surgery.
