Earn a high school equivalency diploma while focusing on academic and personal success
Bilingual Medical Assistant Training Program
The Bilingual Medical Assistant Training Program is an intensive, yearlong evening and weekend program that teaches clinical and language skills to help English language learners gain employment in the high demand bilingual medical assistant field. You will learn how to draw blood, take vital signs, communicate with patients and doctors, update charts and provide general medical office support. Upon successfully completing the training, you will be eligible to sit for the National Health career Association’s Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, EKG and Phlebotomy certification exams.
Mental Health Peer Specialist
Training Program
Use your own lived experience with mental health challenges and recovery to become a mental health peer support worker in the human services sector. Complete an internship with NYC Well, Institute for Community Living or one of our other program partners.
Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
Get a competitive edge in this high demand medical administration field.
Prepare to take the National Healthcareer Association’s (NHA) Certified Medical Administrative Assistant exam. You will focus on basic medical terminology, documentation, professional etiquette, customer service and other essential topics.
Medical Coding Certificate Program
Begin a career in healthcare information management. Learn about the U.S. healthcare system as well as the anatomy and physiology needed to assign International Classification of Diseases-10, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) codes and Current Procedural Terminology of the American Medical Association (CPT-AMA) codes to medical procedures. Upon completion of the training program, you will earn a LaGuardia certificate of completion.

CUNY Language Immersion
Program
If you are an English as a Second Language (ESL) student who has been admitted to a City University of New York (CUNY) college but needs to spend more time learning English before taking college courses, the CUNY Language Immersion Program (CLIP) will help you develop your English language skills and prepare you for college study.
Individual Instruction for Deaf Adults and Specialized Workshops
For Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard-of-Hearing adults, receive one-on-one or small group instruction in all your educational and professional development needs, such as preparation for exams; American Sign Language (ASL) for Deaf International Students; specific academic, linguistic or career needs; and American Citizenship preparation.
Radiologic Technology
Increase your knowledge, acquire specialized skills, earn American Society of Radiological Technologists (ASRT) approved Continuing Education Credits (CECs) to maintain required licensure and prepare for certification exams in the field of radiologic technology.
