I am pleased to announce that, starting March 17, Emad Nassar will serve as the Interim Dean of Institutional Effectiveness in the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA).
Emad’s appointment follows the recent retirement of Nava Lerer, Ph.D.
Emad has been working as a Senior Institutional Researcher with OIRA since 2019. He has more than fifteen years’ experience working in institutional research, strategic planning, and accreditation. As Interim Dean, Emad will direct the research, design, and production of the College’s institutional profile, oversee the administration of OIRA, and provide research and analysis to support faculty and staff in all divisions of the college.
Emad has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from City College/CUNY, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from City College/CUNY, and a Master of Science degree in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security from John Jay College of Criminal Justice/CUNY.
A search to permanently fill the position will begin in the coming weeks.
