About

After earning her Ph.D. in Organization Development, Training, and Human Resources, Dr. Leslie Scamacca joined the faculty at LaGuardia Community College in 2014. She was later promoted to the role of Associate Professor in the Business and Technology Department in 2018 and earned tenure in 2020. She reached the full Professor milestone in 2021. She is an educator who aims to deliver quality hospitality education to a diverse student population. Her favorite courses to teach are Customer Service and Sales and Hospitality Law. Dr. Scamacca is a scholar in the fields of hospitality and tourism, and in pedagogical advancement for community college students. She is currently working on projects in film tourism, smart cities, and digital portfolios for Hospitality students. She is a collaborator, leader, and faithful colleague to LaGuardia faculty and staff and global Hospitality educators.
