Emergency Financial Aid is available for students facing economic struggles.
Whether you’ve had a loss of income, or need support to pay for rent and utilities, food, tuition, textbooks, healthcare, or other expenses, you can apply for emergency assistance.(One application request per semester).

Merit Scholarships
LaGuardia offers $500 in merit-based aid to qualifying students. Merit scholarships can be used to pay tuition, fees, books, technology, or personal expenses. To qualify, new students must have a high school grade average of 80 or higher. Returning students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. All eligible students must complete the federal (FAFSA) and state (TAP) financial aid applications – submit them now.
Students can attend LaGuardia full or part-time. International students, DACA recipients, and undocumented students are encouraged to contact Student Financial Services via email at financialaid@lagcc.cuny.edu or in-person regarding their eligibility. Funds will not be accessible until students’ registration and enrollment are confirmed. Returning students will be prioritized for merit scholarships based on how close they are to graduation (that is, students with 45 or more credits will be considered before those with 30 credits).
