How to submit your documents Send by Mail: You may send your documents through the mail, but please keep in mind that it may take several days and sometimes weeks for documents to be received by LaGuardia. You can either mail them yourself or request your school to mail them on your behalf to CUNY or directly to LaGuardia. . If your documents are from outside the U.S., you must have them sent directly to CUNY.

What Documents to Submit
- High school diploma and an official high school transcript or original GED/TASC diploma and scores.
- A $65.00 application fee is payable online by credit or debit card (preferable) or by Check.
Students who attended high school outside the U.S.
- Copy of high school Diploma
- $65 application fee payable by credit or debit card (preferable) or by eCheck.
- English translations of all documents
- Official translations or scanned copies will be accepted.
In some cases, more documentation may be required. Admissions will inform you if this applies to you.
TOEFL/IELTS/Pearson scores are no longer required for admission to LaGuardia.
Students who attended a college/university or other programs within the U.S.
- Official transcript(s) from ALL previously attended colleges/universities. If you recently attended a CUNY school, we can download that transcript on your behalf.
- 70.00 application fee payable by credit or debit card (preferable) or by eCheck.
- High school transcript if you have not completed at least three credits of college-level math and English with a grade of C or better.
In some cases, more documentation may be required. Admissions will inform you if this applies to you.
If you are transferring into LaGuardia and have previously used Department of Veteran Affairs Education Benefits at another college or university, you must notify the VA by filing a Request for Change of Program or Place of Training/Form 22-1995.
- Provide proof of Military Service (e.g) DD-214, Current Military ID Card or Deployment or pre-separation orders.
- Veterans, National Guard and Reservists do not pay the Application Fee.
- Request your Joint Service Transcript be provided to LaGuardia Community College.
- Students are required to submit proof of MMR vaccinations. Your DD-214 will satisfy the MMR requirement. Submit a copy to the college Health Center at health-center@lagcc.cuny.edu and also complete the meningitis response form and submit to health-center@lagcc.cuny.edu.
Students who attended a college/university outside the U.S.
- Copy of high school Diploma
- Official college/university transcripts
- Scanned copies of official transcripts will be considered on a case-by-case basis. In this case, you must provide a statement that clearly indicates the reason for being unable to obtain the official credentials. Also, when the institution is able to do so, you must request official post-secondary records to be sent to LaGuardia.

- Green card (if you are a permanent resident) or work authorization card (if applicable)
- A scanned copy will be accepted.
- English translations of all documents
- Official translations or scanned copies will be accepted.
