Library Mission - LaGuardia Community College Library Media Resources Center

The mission of the Library Media Resources Center is to support LaGuardia's mission by serving the curricular and information needs of the College's diverse students, faculty and staff. The Library also serves the broader scholarly community of the City University of New York and the public who wish to consult the Federal Government Depository Collection. The Library is committed to:

Fostering information literacy;
Building and providing access to dynamic collections;
Preserving materials related to the College's history;
Adapting technology to support teaching and learning;
Providing outstanding public service;
Creating an environment conducive to studying and learning;
Collaborating with faculty;
Maintaining professional standards; and
Local, CUNY-wide and regional library cooperation.

We seek to inspire lifelong learning through creative instruction and innovative services.
