Advanced ASL I:Advanced ASL I is an intensive, hands-on course that will foster your development of ASL fluency. Our multimedia Interpreting Lab will be used as a tool to reinforce your process of expressing ASL in various registers, such as telling a narrative tale, giving a formal presentation, and engaging in dialogue. This course also covers basic ASL linguistics, cultural rules, and the Deaf Community and its history.
Advanced ASL II: Advanced ASL II reinforces your continuing development in becoming a fully fluent ASL user. Activities provide experience in expressing narratives in ASL and engaging in a dialogue with various members within multicultural Deaf communities. More advanced rules of ASL linguistics, cultural rules associated with language use, and information about the Deaf community and its history are also covered.
